Iceland Post invests in Unimaze Software
Tuesday, November 01, 2011
Iceland Post has invested in Unimaze Software, which specializes in services and solutions for electronic business processes and document exchange.

"It is common knowledge that with recent technical advances, companies are switching from their use of paper documents to electronic documents instead. Iceland Post is determined to keep up with these developments and the investment in Unimaze Software is part of that strategy. Iceland Post expects electronic document delivery to become increasingly important and intends to make it part of its future service offerings. This is related to a previous investment Iceland Post made in an electronic document storage and delivery system targeting the consumer market in Iceland."

NES becomes an obligatory standard in Norway
Thursday, September 10, 2009
According to a "Parliamentary report regarding procurement and e-invoicing", NESUBL becomes an obligatory standard for the government from the year 2010. This was announced on the Norstella web site on May 5, 2009.
Today the government put forward its parliamentary report regarding public procurement and e-invoicing called "The good procurement". The decisions are:
- That through economic regulations require that governmental organizations to have the capability to receive electronic invoices on a specific format (NESUBL) before July 1st 2011.
- That through regulations the government plans to require Norwegian municipalities and regional authorities to use the same standard as the state before July 1st 2012.
- To analyse in the year 2009 the content and the execution of conditions for the public sector. This shall be made in cooperation with the Confederation of Employers before July 1st 2012, but the final date will be determined by the analysis of the regulations.
- To establish a web invoicing portal for organizations that haven’t established their own solutions for this, in good time before the possible order.
- The requirement to send invoices electronically should be applicable to payments in general. Further estimation of possible exceptions should be done in connection with the assessment of regulations.
